Add Permitted Feature for Individual Permit

Overview

Permitted Features records and tracks the Permitted Features, also known as pipes or outfalls, for a Permit. Users will be able to add, edit, and delete Permitted Features. In addition, when adding a Permitted Feature for a General Permit Covered Facility (GPCF), the user will have the option to copy down the Limit Sets and Limits from a Master General Permit (MGP) Permitted Feature to the GPCF.

This screen allows the user to add a Permitted Feature to the Permit.

Screen Fields

Screen Section	Field Name	Field Description
Header	NPDES ID	This is the NPDES Permit Number assigned to the Permit.
Header	Permit Type	This is the text describing the type of Permit (e.g. NPDES Individual Permit, General Permit Covered Facility, etc.).
Header	Permittee Name	This is the name of the Permittee to which the Permit has been issued.
Header	Major/Minor Indicator	This indicates whether the Permit is a Major or Minor Permit.
Header	Issue Date	This is the date the Permit was issued.
Header	Effective Date	This is the date the Permit is effective.
Header	Expiration Date	This is the date the Permit expire.
Add Permitted Feature	Permitted Feature ID	This is the identifier within the Permit for the Permitted Feature.
Add Permitted Feature	Type	This is the description of the type of Permitted Feature (e.g., External Outfall, Sum).
Add Permitted Feature	Treatment Type	This is the description of the treatment type(s) of the Permitted Feature.
Add Permitted Feature	Description	This is the user-entered description of the Permitted Feature.
Add Permitted Feature	Characteristics	This is the description of the characteristic(s) for the Permitted Feature.
Flow	Application Design Flow (MGD)	This is the flow that the Permitted Feature was designed to accommodate.
Flow	Application Actual Average Flow (MGD)	This is the average flow that the Permitted Feature actually had at the time of application.
State Water Body Data	Water Body Code	This is the state’s code to identify the water body into which the effluent is discharged for a Permitted Feature.
State Water Body Data	Water Body Name	This is the state’s name for the water body into which the effluent is discharged for a Permitted Feature.
State Water Body Data	Is the receiving water impaired?	Flag indicating whether Permit is considered for impaired receiving water.
State Water Body Data	Has a TMDL been completed for this receiving water body?	Flag indicating whether TMDL has been completed for Permit receiving waterbody.
Latitude/Longitude	Latitude: Decimal Degrees	This is the measure of the angular distance on a meridian north or south of the equator for a Permitted Feature; displayed in decimal degrees.
Latitude/Longitude	Longitude: Decimal Degrees	This is the measure of the angular distance on a meridian east or west of the prime meridian for a Permitted Feature; displayed in decimal degrees.
Latitude/Longitude	Latitude: Degrees, Minutes, Seconds	This is the measure of the angular distance on a meridian north or south of the equator for a Permitted Feature; displayed in degrees, minutes, seconds.
Latitude/Longitude	Longitude: Degrees, Minutes, Seconds	This is the measure of the angular distance on a meridian east or west of the prime meridian for a Permitted Feature; displayed in degrees, minutes, seconds.
Latitude/Longitude	Horizontal Accuracy Measure	This is the measure of the accuracy (in meters) of the latitude and longitude coordinates.
Latitude/Longitude	Source Map Scale Number	This is the number that represents the proportional distance on the ground for one unit of measure on the map or photo.
Latitude/Longitude	Reference Point	This is the code for the place for which geographic coordinates were established.
Latitude/Longitude	Geometric Type	This is the code that represents the geometric entity represented by one point or a sequence of latitude and longitude points
Latitude/Longitude	Horizontal Collection Method	This is the code that represents the method used to determine the latitude and longitude coordinates for a point on the earth.
Latitude/Longitude	Horizontal Reference Datum	This is the code that represents the reference datum used in determining latitude and longitude coordinates.
User Defined Fields	1	This is the first free-text user defined field.
User Defined Fields	2	This is the second free-text user defined field.
Site Info	Is site owned by Facility?	This is the checkbox indicating whether or not the Permitted Feature is owned by the Permitted Facility.
Site Info	Field Size	This is the acreage of the field where Biosolids are applied.
Additional Data	Is surface disposal site lined with leachate collection system?	This is the checkbox indicating whether or not the surface disposal site is lined and has a leachate collection system.
Additional Data	Does active surface disposal unit have daily cover?	This is the checkbox indicating whether or not the active surface disposal unit has a daily cover placed on it at the end of each day.
Additional Data	Is nitrate ground water monitoring required?	This is the checkbox indicating whether nitrate groundwater monitoring is required.
Additional Data	Distance of surface disposal site to property boundary	This is the distance in meters to the property boundary from the disposal site.
Additional Data	Well Number	This is the identification of the well from which the nitrate groundwater monitoring sample was taken.
Additional Data	Source Permitted Features	This is the description of the Source Permitted Features; to be used on Sum Permitted Features.

Screen Functions

Function	Description
Save & Exit	This allows the user to save the entered/modified information and returns the user to the list screen.
Save & Continue	This allows the user to save the entered/modified information and displays the edit screen for further data entry.
Save & Add Another	This allows the user to save the entered information and displays the add screen for further data entry.
Cancel	This allows the user to cancel the entry/modification of information and returns the user to the list screen.
Add/Remove Treatment Type	This allows the user to designate the appropriate Treatment Types to be included with the Permitted Feature.
Add/Remove Characteristics	This allows the user to designate the appropriate Characteristics to be included with the Permitted Feature.
Tabs
Facilities	This displays the List of Facility Interests Related to the Permit screen. This screen contains a list of Facility Interests that are associated with the current NPDES Permit and allows the user to add, edit, view, and delete a Facility Interest.
Compliance Monitoring	This displays the List of Compliance Monitoring Activities Related to the Permit screen. This screen contains a list of Compliance Monitoring Activities that are associated with the current NPDES Permit and allows the user to add, edit, view, and delete a Compliance Monitoring Activity.
DMRs	This does not appear for Unpermitted Facility Type Permits. This displays the Search DMR screen with the NPDES ID prepopulated. This screen allows the user to search for DMRs that are associated with the current NPDES Permit.
Program Reports	This displays the List of Program Reports Related to the Permit screen. This screen contains a list of Program Reports that are associated with the current NPDES Permit and allows the user to add, edit, view, and delete a Program Report.
NPDES Violations	This displays the List of NPDES Violations Related to the Permit screen. This screen contains a list of NPDES Violations that are associated with the current NPDES Permit and allows the user to add a Single Event Violation and edit, view, and delete all Violations.
Enforcement Actions	This displays the List of Enforcement Actions Related to the Permit screen. This screen contains a list of Enforcement Actions that are associated with the current NPDES Permit and allows the user to add, edit, view, and delete an Enforcement Action.
